Irony of Existence

The infallible-careless eyes of nature,
Saw the two of them laugh:
The lion and the porcupine,
In kingdom of strength of the first,
And the realm of thorns of the last,
With smiles sphinx-like,
Fear- dominated- no bail,
With mercy of its compromise,

Existence lives out its ironies.
